Baidoa IDPs Face Critical Shortages of Food, Shelter, and Water

aidoa’s internally displaced persons (IDPs) are facing severe humanitarian challenges as food, shelter, and water shortages worsen across the catchment areas. Thousands of families, displaced by conflict and drought, struggle to access basic necessities, leaving many at risk of malnutrition and disease.

Local aid organizations report that overcrowded camps lack adequate shelter, forcing families to live in makeshift tents with little protection from harsh weather conditions. Water scarcity has also intensified, increasing the risk of waterborne diseases. Urgent intervention is needed to provide emergency relief and sustainable solutions to support these vulnerable communities.

Humanitarian agencies and government authorities are urged to scale up efforts to address the crisis and prevent further suffering among Baidoa’s displaced populations.
